THE CROWN INN

THE CROWN
Kevin and Maria came to The Crown Inn in October 2000
from a Charles Wells House in New Barnet, Herts. Some 50 miles down the road,
but a world away from The Crown (as we prefer to call it), North Bedfordshire.
Rebuilt in 1974, after being destroyed by fire. Much of the old world charm
of an english country pub, was lost to the the modern building styles
of the 70s. Gone was the thatched roof and the
wattle and daub and in came
breeze blocks, tiles and plasterboard. However all is not lost.
The Crown is very popular and now well supported by many, both local and afar.
Free Wi-Fi and a large outside area for those who just like to sit in the
sun and enjoy a nice cold drink.
We now have our own brewery onsite where we at the moment
brew our two main stay bitters.
The Beer With No Name (3.8abv.) & Pale (3.7abv).
Both are very popular and we will be adding more.
We also supply Hog Roasts and outside bars for private functions, weddings, etc.
The Crown is known for our fresh fish & chips.
We source our fish from Billingsgate personally each week.
Hence Thursday and Friday can become very busy, so please come early, booking is always advisable.
